Practicing Thankfulness

This week I am practicing thankfulness. I mentioned before that I have been reading Ann Voskamp’s book 1000 Gifts, and it has been helping me to be more thankful in my daily life. However, I know this week will be tough. I start back at my job tomorrow; my days will no longer be slow going with lots of baby snuggles. They will be filled with teenagers who struggle to sit still and listen, who need a steady voice to help them learn and grow and mature and who demand my attention and call me out when I look too tired. I am going to need God’s strength to get through each day (even before I had a  baby I needed His strength). So instead of posting each day this week I am going to keep a list of things I am thankful for and update you at the end of the week. I am going to look for the gifts in my life instead of dwell on the challenges. And then, I am going to even try to see the challenges as gifts.

Thanks to those of you who have been praying for me and supporting me as I begin this new season.

It means a lot to me and my family.

P.S. do you like my new header? I just changed it up a little bit. Also notice my new sponsors (really they are my friends who get to hang out on my sidebar)
