In the month of October I will be joining the 31 days of writing over at The Nester’s blog. I am going to spend the next 31 days writing from the perspective of a working mom. The reality is I always write from this perspective, but this month I am going to be intentional.
For the last few years I have observed the 31 day link up over at the Nester in awe. I always think “how amazing that all those people can talk about the same topic for 31 days.” I have always secretly wanted to join but feared that I don’t have the right topic or enough wisdom to go on for 31 days. But this year I decided to jump right out of my comfort zone, trust God and just do it. I have been thinking about this topic for a little while actually. Not specifically linked with the 31 day project, but in general, and I have felt God whispering to me to use this platform as an encouragement to working moms out there. Moms who work outside the home and in the home, but moms who have to juggle motherhood and a paying job. This isn’t about discriminating against non-working moms, it is about offering encouragement and support to working moms.
So I am going to write for the 31 days of October about how my life works as a working mom. Hopefully whether or not you are a working mom, stay-at-home-mom or not a mom at all, you will find some wisdom and encouragement from my words. I am going to try to hit some of the hard topics about being a working mom and some of the great things about being a working mom. I will talk about logistics of how it works for me and just offer a piece of what my day looks like other days. Hopefully at the very least you will get a little glimpse into my day-to-day life.
As I post each day I will link here to my index so you can easily find each post at the end of the series. So this post will continually be edited through out the month.
